Privacy Policy

IV Drip by Shar
Effective date: August 24, 2026

IV Drip by Shar is a mobile IV therapy practice serving Los Angeles. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what control you have over it. It covers ivdripbyshar.com, our booking and text messaging, and the care we provide in your home, hotel, office, or event space.

If anything here is unclear, call or text us at (310) 409-3853 or email contact@ivdripbyshar.com.

What we collect

Contact and booking information. Your name, phone number, email address, and the address where you want treatment. We collect this when you book online, call, text, or email us.

Health information. Before we place an IV, we ask about your medical history, medications, allergies, pregnancy status, past reactions to IV therapy, and your symptoms or goals for treatment. During the visit we record vital signs, what was administered, dose, and how you responded. This is your medical record and we treat it as confidential.

Payment information. We process payments through Square. Square handles your card number directly. We do not see or store your full card number. We see the amount, the last four digits, and whether the payment went through.

Website information. When you visit ivdripbyshar.com, standard analytics tools collect your IP address, browser and device type, which pages you viewed, how long you stayed, and the site or search that sent you. We use Google Analytics for this. It tells us which pages and service areas people actually use. It is not tied to your medical record.

We do not run advertising pixels or retargeting on this site.

How we use it

  • To schedule, confirm, and show up for your appointment
  • To screen you for safety and decide whether a treatment is appropriate for you
  • To provide care and keep an accurate medical record of it
  • To follow up after your visit and check how you are doing
  • To take payment and send receipts
  • To answer your questions and handle complaints
  • To send you offers, specials, and news about new treatments, if you have given us your number or email
  • To understand which pages on our site are working
  • To meet legal, licensing, and recordkeeping obligations that apply to nursing practice in California

Your health information

We handle your health information under California’s Confidentiality of Medical Information Act, and under HIPAA where it applies to us.

We do not disclose your health information to anyone outside your care without your written authorization, except where the law requires or permits it. That includes a court order or subpoena, a public health or mandated reporting obligation, an investigation by a licensing board, or an emergency where sharing information is necessary to protect your health or someone else’s.

We do not use your health information for marketing. If you tell us your goals or symptoms, that stays in your chart. It does not go to an ad platform, a list broker, or anyone else.

If you consent to before-and-after photos or a testimonial, that is a separate written permission and you can withdraw it at any time.

Text messaging

When you give us your mobile number by texting us, booking online, or providing it to us in person, you agree to receive text messages from IV Drip by Shar. Those include appointment confirmations, reminders, arrival updates, post-visit follow-up, and promotional messages about specials and new services.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. Reply HELP for help, or call us at (310) 409-3853.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. The only companies that handle your number are the messaging and scheduling providers who deliver our messages, and they are not permitted to use it for anything else. Your consent to receive texts is never sold, rented, or shared.

Opting out of texts does not delete your record or unsubscribe you from email. It stops the texts.

Who we share information with

We share only what is necessary, and only with:

  • Square, to process payments and manage booking
  • Our website and email providers, who host the site and deliver messages
  • Our messaging provider, to send appointment and promotional texts
  • Google Analytics, for anonymous website usage data
  • A pharmacy, compounding pharmacy, or supervising physician, when your treatment requires it
  • Emergency medical services, if you have a medical emergency during a visit
  • Our accountant, attorney, or insurer, when needed and under a duty of confidentiality
  • Government or law enforcement, when the law requires it

We do not sell your personal information. We do not sell or share your health information. We do not sell or share your phone number.

Cookies

Our site uses cookies for basic function and for the analytics described above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not work correctly if you do.

Your privacy rights in California

If you live in California, you can ask us to:

  • Tell you what personal information we hold about you and where it came from
  • Give you a copy of it
  • Correct information that is wrong
  • Delete information we no longer need to keep
  • Confirm that we have not sold or shared your information

You can also ask for a copy of your medical record. We will provide it within the time the law allows. We will not treat you differently, charge you more, or refuse service because you exercised any of these rights.

To make a request, call or text (310) 409-3853 or email contact@ivdripbyshar.com. We will verify your identity before releasing anything, which usually means confirming details we already have on file.

One limit worth knowing: we cannot delete medical records we are legally required to keep. If you ask us to delete everything, we will delete what we can and tell you specifically what we had to keep and why.

How long we keep things

We keep treatment records for at least seven years after your last visit, which is the standard for medical records, and longer where the law requires it. Booking and payment records are kept as long as we need them for tax and accounting purposes. Marketing contact information is kept until you opt out.

How we protect it

Your records are stored in password-protected, encrypted systems. Access is limited to our clinical team and anyone directly involved in your care. Devices are locked and encrypted. Payment processing is handled by Square, which is PCI compliant, so card data never sits on our systems.

No system is perfect. If a breach ever affected your information, we would notify you as required by California law.

Age

Our services are for adults 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18 through this website. If a minor is to be treated, a parent or legal guardian must be present and must consent in writing.

Links to other sites

Our site links to Square for booking and to Instagram. Once you leave ivdripbyshar.com, this policy no longer applies. Those companies have their own privacy policies and we do not control them.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the effective date at the top. If the change is significant, we will tell you by email or text.
